Bartulovic Winery is located on the Peljesac peninsula in southern Dalmatia, a climate in which the ancient Greeks and Romans once started the tradition of growing vines and carved their delight in wine into the lives of Peljesac inhabitants. It can be found in the central part of Peljesac called the Peljesac parish, in the old picturesque village of Prizdrina. The Bartulovic property includes a winery, a wine cellar with a wine shop providing a complete offer of all our wines, and a tavern which serves exquisite gastro-enological delights in an ambiance where the spirit of the Peljesac past is entirely preserved. Bartulovic family has been building its reputation for 480 years. It has perfected the technology of wine production by its own care for grapes and vineyards. Natural preconditions, microclimate and land in this region are the basis of good wine, but it is the winemaker’s artistry which will keep the natural flavour in grapes captured in bottles. Constant modernization of production guarantees the application of all the latest trends in wine industry, but a special emphasis remains on preserving the tradition of the Peljesac wine production which means using only excellent grape varieties in wine production (Plavac Mali, Plavac Mali from Dingac and Rukatac, a white grape variety).  |
